Software Engineers & Quality Professionals

The Product Development group in Göteborg is looking for professionals with a strong software development background. You will be involved in all stages of software development: analysis, design, construction, testing, documentation and maintenance. You will be working with highly talented and experienced developers, having regular interaction with the other component groups.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Strong software development experience
  • Good English language skills

We are recruiting for the following teams:

System Test
The System Test Group develops and executes software and system tests, both functional and non-functional, and develops and maintains automatic test suites. Test Documentation such as Test Specifications, Plans and Procedures are created. The Test team is involved in the development phase from beginning to end, from requirement reviews to delivery meetings. We are looking for both junior and more experienced test engineers/test leaders, used to working in a project driven environment. You should be used to working in UNIX environments. If you also have some programming experience and basic knowledge of Oracle and SQL it will be an advantage.

Integration & Verification
We need a System Integration Expert for our Integration & Verification team. You will be integrating new Jeppesen software in our system test environments, and determine whether it's suitable for extensive system tests. You will also support system testers and work with validation of technical system aspects such as failure recovery and scalability etc. The position involves strategic as well as direct hands on technical work. You need extensive experience in UNIX/Linux system administration.

Configuration Management Team
We are looking for a Configuration Management expert. The CM team works with creation of build systems, configuration of Version Control Systems and maintenance of build & development environments. You should have a solid understanding of the CM role in the software development process, and should have at least 3 years of technical software CM experience. Good experience of working in a complex heterogeneous Unix environments, including hands-on experience with CVS, Make, Ant, C/C++ compilers/linkers and debuggers in the Unix environment will be necessary, as well as experience from project driven work.

Optimization
The Optimization team is responsible for the core Optimization-engines in all our products. As a member of the team you will work with mathematical modeling, algorithmic development and performance tuning as well as taking part in research, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. You are goal-oriented and enjoy problem-solving, but still have an eye for the big picture. You must work well in a team and be very communicative and open. An interest in optimization and algorithms is a given. Strong C/C++ skills and background in Object-Oriented programming is required.

Modeling - RAVE
The Model team develops the in-memory model and business layer, a rule language, a reporting framework and tools used to develop rules and reports. The in-memory model has high performance requirements and is exposed to massive amounts of data. It also provides the business model primitives serving as the foundation for application and customization services. The rule language RAVE is a purpose-built declarative modeling language tailored for resource management and high performance optimization problems. Applicants should have experience in large scale system development and a big interest in understanding the end user modeling problems.

Data Management - DAVE
The DAVE team develops data management components which provide a highly reliable common data store within our integrated Tracking and Crew Management solutions. The DAVE team is setting new standards in providing complete data-audit support, customizability, data models for advanced scenario support and high performance. Applicants should have development skills in C++ and Python, a strong database background and preferably also framework or middleware development experience.

User Interfaces
The User Interface team develops user interfaces and tools that allow planners to make the most out of large-scale optimization as well as to manage stressful situations on the day of operation. Applicants should have a genuine interest in usability design and experience of large scale system development using Java and/or C++. Knowledge in Python is advantageous.

System Architecture
The System Architecture team works with requirement analysis and management, system and cross-component architecture and technical design. The team is involved in both long term product roadmap work and in customer projects. We are looking for a system architect with extensive experience in building complex systems, using state-of-the-art modeling and design techniques and tools.

Crew Communications – Web solutions
The Crew Communications team develops user-friendly, rich, application-like Web solutions based on modern technologies and frameworks, such as the ExtJS 2.0 JavaScript library. Applicants to this position should have experience in Web application development, J2EE architecture, JavaScript and Java programming. Experience of application servers, such as WebLogic and WebSphere, and test-driven development is meriting.
